Special Issue: Biomaterials

Call for papers

The Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering (CJChE) (Monthly, ISSN 1004-9541) is the official journal of Chemical Industry and Engineering Society of China and published by the Chemical Industry Press Co.Ltd. It is a peer-reviewed, international journal that covers important and latest theoretical and technological advances in chemical engineering. The journal is published monthly since 1982, and is indexed by SCIE, EI, Scopus,CA, etc. Its SCI Instant Impact Factor of 2019 has reached 2.6. In 2019, CJChE was selected in the program of “China STEM Journal Excellence Action Plan”.

CJChE will launch a Virtual Special Issue with the topic of “Biomaterials”. We kindly invite you to submit or recommend high quality papers to our journal considering your reputation and contributions to bioscience and bioengineering.

Virtual Special Issues (VSI) are a new initiative on ScienceDirect, Elsevier’s online database of scientific and medical research. VSI is an online-only grouping of Special Issue articles traditionally assigned to a single Special Issue (which have never really existed in CJChE). Each article in a VSI is assigned a unique identifier and published simultaneously in a regular journal issue of CJChE. The unique identifier allows parallel addition of the article to a VSI on ScienceDirect which is gradually being built up as individual articles are published online. Articles grouped together in a VSI retain their original citation details. On ScienceDirect, a VSI is listed alongside regular journal issues and is easily accessible and navigable. A VSI homepage includes a Guest Editor listing, table of contents and other data relevant to the VSI. Therefore, one important advantage of publishing research in a VSI is the topical grouping with similar papers in the same VSI environment. This will enhance accessibility and visibility of the published research, in particular for all of those interested in the topic.

Scientific development and clinical applications have established biomaterials as substances or platforms to direct the course of therapeutic or diagnostic procedures by controlling interactions with living systems. The aim of this special issue is to publish high quality articles especially in the science, technology, and applications of biomaterials.

The special issue focuses on the design and use of biomaterials. Papers should have novelty in either method or application to be considered for publication. The special issue is relevant to areas such as anti-biofouling materials/interfaces, implantable devices/materials, tissue engineering, diagnosis and therapy, etc. The full-paper submissions will undergo the normal peer review process and will be accepted by the same standard of a regular submission to CJChE.

It will be highly appreciated if your manuscripts can be submitted via the journal website:

            http://www.cjche.com.cn/

and download the Guide for Authors from

            http://www.cjche.com.cn/EN/column/column12.shtml.

Please specify that your submission will be included in the virtual special issue of "SI: Biomaterials" in the Cover letter, and be sure to select "SI: Biomaterials" in the Article Type drop-down list.

Any questions regarding the publication are welcome.
